After finishing my MSc in Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology I started my professional career at The Boston Consulting Group in Amsterdam in 2011. I decided to start my career in the field of strategy consulting becuase I enjoy working in teams with both colleagues and clients to solve the most important and challenging problems well known and major companies face today.
At BCG I worked on >20 high impact projects covering many different industries and topics, but with a main focus on the postal/parcel and express industry, healthcare and consumer goods. I transfered to the Melbourne office for 8 months in 2013-2014 to work on a project that was a great fit with my expertize in that sector. A summary of my experience to date:
Core member of global Postal sector: long term strategy and network strategy for national mail operators, pricing strategy for postal and parcel carries and IT strategy for express players
Healthcare: hospital care procurement strategy for insurance companies, including negotiation support and benchmarking quality and efficiency of all Dutch hospitals on all major medical specializations
Consumer goods: complexity reduction, costs reduction and portfolio optimization in consumer goods, competitive COGS comparison and operational strategy for consumer medical devices
